ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates seeking admission into the Foundation programme must possess credit passes in at least five subjects in SSCE (WAEC/NECO or GCE) or equivalent qualification to include
English Language and Mathematics and other relevant subjects at not more than two sittings. At the end of the programme, candidates will be admitted into 200 levels in various degree courses in University of Uyo provided they satisfy the admission criteria to such courses with respect to the final Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Candidates awaiting the October/November 2011 SSCE/NECO & GCE Examination results can also apply.
2. METHOD OF APPLICATION
Interested candidates will be required to purchase the scratch card for N500.00 (Five hundred naira) and in addition pay the sum of N10,000.00 (Ten thousand naira) only as administrative charge at any Branch of the following Banks nationwide.
(i) Keystone Bank,
(ii) Skye Bank,
(iii) Zenith Bank,
(iv) UBA PLC;
(v) First City Monument Bank PLC, (FCMB);
(vi) University of Uyo Micro Finance Bank
(vii) Liaison office, Abuja – No. 15B Blantyre Off Adetokumbo Ademola Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja.
(viii) Liaison Office, Lagos-No.2 Modupe St; Off Kofoworole Crescent; Off Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos.
With the scratch card, candidates should access and complete the University of Uyo 2011/2012 Foundation Programme Screening Form online at www.uniuyopume.org and scan their recent pass- port size photograph (with a red background) on the form. Candidates should also note that the same scratch card will be used to access their performance in the Foundation Programme Screening Exercise.
Candidates are required to come for the screening exercise with the following:
(i) A copy of the Foundation Programme ON-LINE form duly completed carrying the passport size photograph.
(ii) Two (2) recent passport-size colour photographs (with a red background) with the name and signature of the candidate written on the reverse side.
(iii) HB pencil, eraser and sharpener
No GSM handsets, calculators or any other extraneous materials should be brought into the screening hall.
VENUE: Candidates for the Foundation Programme screening exercise are to report at the CBN Auditorium, University of Uyo (Town Campus) on SATURDAY, 21th JANUARY 2012 at 8.00 A.M. for the screening exercise.
N/B: Candidates admitted into the Foundation Programme will be required to own a laptop as they will be registered for Professional Certifications in Computer software and systems applications like Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS); AutoCAD 3D Certified Associate; Autodesk Civil – 3D Certified Professional and Sage Certified Peachtree Expert. |
